Read my above post and before negotiating or factory incentives such as grad bonus or military (if it applies) the base OR is selling for low 32k.

Just out of curiousity how much did you end up spending on yours? If it’s too personal you don’t have to say, but a base OR is fairly close to a lower trim which is the main point.

That’s not a bad deal honestly for all that stuff. But I see what you are saying.

Not at all, sticker was $41.2k plus the stupid dealer add on (window tint/door edge/sill crap) $699. But in the end its just a truck and I think I would have been just as happy with a bare bones manual off road.

Shoooot my hoe ass got a 2wd with tech for 32. Bitches kept saying “we can’t do a 4wd for 37.5k otd”. I know damn well they could’ve found me a manual & it would’ve worked. But when the woman says jump, I jump. Lol

I must admit electronic climate control is a nice thing as far as convenience and not having to adjust the controls, but I would rather have a lower price!!! Lol!

What he wants doesn't exist though. He's going to compromise somewhere.

The P&T on the Manual is sweet too, I don't regret it at all, the heated seats are awesome and the sunroof is nice in the warm weather.

Plenty of people add lockers to their rigs though. Even swap out the factory e locker for an arb air locker for example

You also fuck up the warranty at that point, the base OR is the way to go for the OP.

I'm shopping for a 2019 DCSB OR right now, and while I'm getting an AT so it's wife-drivable ( :( ), I was surprised that you said basic config has no CRAWL - everything I'm reading seems to say it's standard, with no trans specified. I live in AK, so the locking diff is pretty important to me just for winter driving, but I also like that crawl feature. I'm looking for basic but with the tech package and tonneau, but is there a good reason to get the premium? I'm pretty "meh" on sound system and moonroof, but I don't want to miss out on actual off-road benefits.

    Thanks!

EDIT: You might be interested in the price, though it's higher here in the frozen north - the one I'm looking at is right about $38K, with tech package and tonneau

You are not left in the dark though as you get the A-TRAC System in place, it is like a Manual version of Crawl Control.

I'm pretty sure all AT ORs have Crawl Control.

It’s only available on the automatic OR’s. I’m also pretty sure it’s standard.

The 4Runner OR has a model without it (you have to get OR premium for crawl control I believe), but I think the Taco auto gets it.

Thanks, I feel better about my plans and choices. But is there anything in the Premium off-road package that might be worth it - some hidden gem (off-road or just convenience) that I'm overlooking?

Maybe the JBL if you really need that, but most people do the Kicker drop in speakers and tweeter for like $200 which is even better in most cases.

Manuals can’t even get the full JBL so it’s not even a worry for manual owners. Weird but that’s how Toyota does things. Lol!

This. I had the JBL option when it was stand alone in my 17 and sounded great. I have it now in my 19 with the premium package and shit sounds worse to me.
