I would recommend going HC as well. It handles the weight of the swingout much better. The regular rears are reinforced but you still get a lot of flex when your Jerry cans are full.

 

I was going to suggest the opposite. I really wish I had just forked over the cash and paid to have mine PC'd. There are so many nooks and crannies that it's impossible to get an effective coat of paint on it all. My bumper has all sorts of surface rust in the little spots (goes for both front and rear).

I agree with this as well. I spray painted my skids and sliders, but my bumpers will have pc.

I want to check out one that's been PCd correctly using a charge to adhere the powder everywhere. The nooks and crannies get rusty with lineX as well it's just impossible to get everywhere with a spray. The bumper on that red 3rd gen at flagpole looked really nice. I thought it was mauntok or something like that.
