My Fumoto started leaking in between the 2 pieces of the valve after I put it on.

Interesting. When did you buy it?

I bought a pack of OEM washers on Amazon. FYI, I told myself, instead of putting a new one each time, I'd wait until it started leaking, then change it. That was 4 years and 12 oil changes ago and I still haven't used a single washer from that pack.

    Nice to have, though.

The dealer gives them away for free if you buy something else. Everytime I go in for spark plugs (I don’t use oem oil filters) I ask for 5-10. Boom. Free. Crush washers and gaskets are an area I try not to skimp on.

About 3 years ago from Amazon. I returned it.

LOL. The 1GR-FE will run for as long as you want it on conventional, syn blend, or full synthetic changed at appropriate intervals.

The Mobil1 and oem filter is a popular combo here. It certainly works.

Literally any other oil in the proper viscosity and spec will be fine. Any spec’d filter from a name brand will be fine.

I use Valvoline syn and a Fram ultra 3600.

Pennzoil conventional and a wix would work.

Castrol and a purolator would be fine.

You can run a Fram Orange can and supertech conventional and not have a single oil related issue.

    Stop overthinking it.

Buy the brand with the bottle color and labeling that makes you FEEL better, because that’s about the only real world difference you will see.

Great point. $5 over 50,000 miles would destroy my nest egg.

Finally got around to changing my oil this morning. Didn't bother with the easy release valve thing. Bought a few crush washers and replaced the previous one (it definitely needed it).

    Thanks for the help, everyone!

Upon changing my oil the first time, I found another good reason to never let Wally World do it again. There was no washer under the plug.
