My 99 2.4 if it sits for a day or two the battery gets weak it will still turn the engine over but it won't start I've had the battery tested and it good but it's only a 550cca .I do know the dome light is drawing a little from the battery but shouldn't it still crank if the engine turns over.

    Welcome to TacomaWorld!

Have you tried jumping it from another vehicle to see if it will start?

I’m not sure on that. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than I am will be able to answer your question.

If you don’t get an answer here, you might be better off asking in the technical chat section.

Sounds like you may have a parasitic draw pulling your battery down. Trace down what’s still using power while the truck is off. Good luck:thumbsup:

Make sure that’s the only thing check voltage then disconnect it to see if something else is drawing. Also check alternator like @boogie3478 said.
