I’d get the one up bike tray carrier for that so you don’t los your bike on a speed bump or something

I really liked my high rise bars when I used them, but since have moved on to the Max Modular Rack. They are great for mounting bikes, and if your tent is narrow enough you can do RTT and bikes. My son and I drove to Whistler Bike Park from the SF Bay Area last summer with this set up. It was solid on the highway and off roading. Canada has so many forest roads you can camp off it’s amazing. We’d free camp near Whistler and then ride all day.

I'm curious about the weight limits as well (never considered a 3rd bar). I've got the Kukenam 4 which is a 210 pounder, plus another 425 lbs of people sleeping in it. The Taco Max is listed at 600 static which makes me wonder if I'd be overloading a Hi Rise.

You would want three Hi Rise bars for that tent.

Yup. It causes a gap in the front driver side latch. I used some weather stripping to close it off. Passenger side didn't need it since the bolt pulls the cover tighter.

I ended up using a ratchet strap through both bikes and a separate strap for each bike to hold them in place. I noticed just the one strap caused the bikes to bounce inward.

I had already ordered the rear wheel tie down rail so I rigged a quick mount so it would work for now with my RTT. Actually works great and is very stable and solid. 20190228_155236.jpg

What did you use to mount the packs?

Home Depot special zinc plates. And the universal mounting plate from rotopax. Jerry rigged pretty much.

I know somebody probably already asked if the Hi Rise cross bars will work with a BAK flipMX4 but I don’t have the time to scroll through the 27 pages anyone kind enough to let me know. Thanks

People with retrax covers. Do you guys just leave the brackets on 24/7? Are the brackets easily removable if you’re not ugh g the hi rise bars?

Really interested in these, but maybe someone can answer my questions.
Are the crossbars able to accommodate these type clamps? 1 3/4" widest openingRola Clamp.jpg
I have a Rola Roof basket that I would like to attach to the bars. Any alternate recommendations?
The bolts that attach to the Tacoma bed track. Are they twist knobs, or a more secure bolt? Worried about theft.

Hey KB I was on your website a few weeks ago and I know I saw some new brackets that will work with the low profile covers like a BAKFlip mx4 but I didn’t see them... am I imaging things?

Good morning all, was installing my KB VOODOO cross bars today, and my tonneau cover wouldn’t close fully with them (running OEM tonneau cover). Did anyone have this issue?

    Thank you all 644817E3-C527-4EC7-8B02-0D664F9CE4BA.jpg362E36CA-7670-4BC9-8143-733102BBEB69.jpg

I have noticed I really need to push down to get the rear clamps to engage.
