So I'm swapping my first set of 1 ton axles in. What are you guys doing about the brake system? I have a dodge dana 60 and a sterling 10.25 rear. I was thinking of swapping to a big brake kit up front and ruff stuff disk conversion for the rear. I also completely gutted the brake system to get rid of ABS.

What master cyl, caliper/rotor are you running front and rear?
What parking brake options? Line locks, cable, or ???
    What would you do different?

Current Setup is Eibach 620lbs Springs on Bilstein 5100's, Dakar leaf pack with Dirt King UCA's. Tires are 285 Wildpeak M/T on Method 701 wheels. RCI Sliders, Front Skid bed rack with Tuff Stuff Roof Top Tent, and US Offroad winch insert bumper with Smittybilt XRC 9.5k winch.
I know with this posting being so old you are more than likely done with this project, but within other people's search maybe it will provide them guidance. I am still figuring this out and by no means an expert. However, I have a 2010 Tacoma TRD-Offroad running a Ford 9" rear and Dana 60 05+ Super Duty upfront.

Within advice from friends and reading, I have come to reason that the best upgrade for brakes would be to remove your electronic ABS, reservoir, and master cylinder. Once this is done I have purchased an 07+ Tundra vacuum brake booster off of eBay and a GM 1 ton master cylinder from Low Range Offroad (link below). Not sure if adapter plates are needed, but from the description when I purchased one, they made it seem it comes ready to bolt up.

Again I am by no means an expert just trying to fill dead-end posts to hopefully help someone else.

Any solutions to an ebrake setup for a conversion like this? I got tons on my rig, but yet to find a “simple” ebrake fix

-At one point, there was a tcase ebrake for the tacoma being manufactured but it wasn't popular and so production stopped. There's a handful of their kit out there and folks were selling them as they move on to better stuff. So if you can find this kit or maybe make your own kit similar to it, that will work.

-If you're running a p-drop 4cyl rf1a case, you're in luck. The rf1a tcase brake is still in production.

-Line lock is another option. You can buy a manual lock or an electronic lock..

-some folks back in the days had to custom made ebrake cable for their domestic rear end to toyota. Pricey but it work.

I appreciate the info. I’m definitely staying away from a tcase brake. Have had terrible luck (vibrates like no other) with them in the past.
Line lock is considered but not ideal, I might’ve found some one that offers ebrake setup calipers (I’m disk in rear) to where I need to plug a cable into it, and go from there. Again I appreciate your help / info

What is your rear brake setup? There are Cadillac Eldorado calipers with a mechanical ebrake that may work if you're running GM 1/2-3/4 ton calipers already

Are you talking newer ribbed 14 bolt with factory disks or disk conversion? If you have the factory setup they have a drum in disk e-brake that works pretty good.

the calipers with built in e-brake generally suck.
