So I have my first possible issue with my truck. Have an appointment at the dealer tomorrow. Sounds like someone is crumpling a tin can in my rear end when I am going really slow. Forward and backwards. First noticed it at taco Bell drive thru last week. My first thought was the chain in the spare tire but it definitely doesn't sound like a chain.
Also have noticed a slight vibration at random speeds kinda droning like "wuah wuah wuah wuah" not crazy loud but noticable.
Has anyone else had any of these same issues?

It's definitely from the Taco Bell.

Just doesn't sound like ice or snow. And there's not any big build up either. If the weather is good tomorrow I'll give it a pressure wash and see if that changes anything.

Are you sure it was the trucks rear end?

Sorry OP. I couldn't resist that one.

This happened to me twice..I was rolling backwards out the driveway in neutral. Sounded like an empty plastic water bottle was crushed under the front tire, but there was no bottle..keep us posted on this one op.

Well I'm at the dealer right now. Went for a ride with the tech and he heard the sound before we even left the parking lot. He got out and had me drive forward slowly. He was checking out the rear drivers wheel and had me stop. Popped off the hubcap, and a little pebble fell out....."found the sound!" He said as he held it up and I smacked myself in the forhead. God I feel like a dumbass. It's also my first vehicle with hubcaps so it didn't even cross my mind to take them off. But I'm glad it was something simple and not major issue. They are doing the blower motor recall for me right now. Also my gauge cluster plexiglass has some hairline cracks in it so they are ordering the parts for that. The tech wasn't sure if they could order just the plexiglass or of they have to get a whole new gauge cluster.

Last time a forum member mentioned Taco Bell they got rear ended there , I would steer clear of Taco Bell...if only to avoid the punitive bathroom time .

Do you have any asshole friends? Marble in a hubcap is a pretty popular prank.

Can also have loads of fun with a harmonica and few zipties.

Nope just a marble sized pebble probably from taking back roads. Now I know though and will definitely be taking them off regularly for cleaning now

Went for the ride and I couldn't replicate it unfortunately. He suggested I get my tires balanced. Of course it happened on my way home but I'll try the rotate/balance and see what happens.
