POR15 works as well if done correctly.

@Teke I've looked at this one too, so depending on my final decision, it will be either POR15 or Eastwood.

I just want to say, the TW is like the encyclopedia britannica of information, with all the how to video's and instructions on how to repair just about anything I could want to try and tackle myself. Sooo glad that I finally joined. I've read internet searched posts from here for years. The Information available here is PRICELESS.

THANKS TACOMA WORLD, THIS BUD'S FOR YOU

You say this now... Wait until you end up spending money on things you don't need. My truck started as a work truck, now I'm knee deep in armor, mods and other things I don't need for my work truck/daily/off-road-sometimes truck lol :spending:

@Teke maybe, but I'm older and wiser, and a whole lot more crippled than you are. I might dream about doing somethings, but where the rubber meets the road, or in my case where my screwed together spine is concerned, A man has too know his limitations. :ballchain:
And believe me, after living with this for the last 6 years, I most definitely know just how little I can do without help. Sucks for me, but at least I won't go broke spending money I don't have.

You calling us young and dumb? haha jk. I want to use my truck more for what I am building it for but my work schedule sucks and no where close is all that great for what I want to do. Damn midwest being so flat and boring sometimes.

@Teke I've been through Indiana, from the southern most to the Northern most. Nothing but Corn, mile after mile after mile until you reach the lake. The really big one. My ex is from Hobart. You could always go out and terrorize the corn fields, just don't get caught. And Remember, I was YOUNG AND DUMB, once myself. Hell when I was 20, I thought I was indestructible. Bye the time I hit Forty, I realized I wasn't, but my Mind still thought I was. I was in the best shape of my life from 44-54. I could out lift all the young guns who I worked out with, and rode a bicycle about 3k miles a year. I really miss that part. Closest thing to being a kid again, that I ever found.

Used to ride dirt bikes through corn fields after the harvests. Most farmers didn't care as long as you kept on moving and didn't stick around in their one field for a long time.

BMW seats, OME Suspension, CBI and NWTI plates front and rear, 13,000 winch, LED light bars, Ham Radio, topper with roof rack added, stainless exhaust, 2nd battery, inverter, sound deadener
Good God! I joined less than two years ago. Was just looking to find a fix for the led dome light bulb that wouldn't work. Since then:

    Power leather seats
    sound deadening the interior
    complete OME suspension upgrade
    plate bumper
    winch
    dual batteries
    cargo rack
    off road lights
    lights in camper top
    ham radio install
tack welded steering column (cheapest and one of the best improvements)
replaced all of A/C components and recharged
    flushed and cleaned power steering
flushed and filled automatic transmission, added filter

    To be done:
rear plate bumper (on order now)
    upgrade head unit
    etc, etc

Lol I am about in the same boat. Joined because I snapped my CV axle a week into owning the truck. Since the I have done:

complete front end overhaul (LBJ, tie rods, LCA bushings, etc.)
    timing belt and water pump
    valve cover gaskets
    GM alternator
    front bumper
    sliders
skid plates (well when I finally get my new tabs from All Poo)
    carrier bearing and ujoints
    ditch lights
    drain and fill transmission
both diffs and tcase drain and fill (3x)
    washer fluid relocation
turn signal relocation (well half way there, haven't taken the time to finish it)
    @turbodb bed rack
    recovery gear
and I know I am missing stuff

    To be done:
    All new A/C components
    Ham or CB radio
    rear bumper
    and more maintenance
    and more mods

And people act like these trucks are maintenance free machines. I am well into maintenance (preventative and fixing) costs by like $3k in 2 years. Still in it for less that most of you suckers though :luvya:

So recently my shifts haven't been smooth at all, seems like my clutch isn't completely disengaging, kinda catches right near the bottom, is this an issue with the clutch springs or something with the hydraulics? Also how often do you change manual gear oil?

Just did a full clutch job maybe 3.5 years ago, feel like they should last longer than that lol maybe this will give me an excuse to get a marlin crawler clutch in the spring...
