More Volume

Been driving my 2015 dc pro for a few weeks now and I was hoping someone could give me the right direction to get more volume from the system. It has the stock head unit and I upgraded to kicker cs speakers all around. The quality improved massively over stock but the problem is the volume is still so quiet compared to literally everything else I’ve driven lol.

Would an amp be the way to go?

I’ve been looking at OEM+ amp/sub combo specifically for the ease and perfect fitting box.

Any other advice?

So all of this assumes you do NOT have the JBL system.

New head unit will get you a decent boost in volume, and some new features.
Adding an amp (kicker key is the favorite for brick amps, and lots of options for full-size amps) will get you a huge boost.
The new speakers have much much larger magnets than factory, and the radio just can't move the heavier cones and voice coils.
The CS speakers are pretty sensitive so no need for amps that do 100w per channel. 45-50 is plenty. Lots of talk about the little brick amps over in the "$250 upgrade" thread.

 

That sounds perfect. The cab is small so I don’t by any means need massive amounts of sound, I just want something decent that I can turn up a little louder when I’m feeling good ya know

And yes, non JBL.

 

I added a ********* 4-channel amp last year and got a TON of volume...the gains on the amp aren't turned up at all, so probably too much power for the speakers I'm running. I'd look at a something like the Kicker Key or
