Okay so I've searched around a bit for this information and couldn't seem to come up with any solid answers so i figured id make thread about it.

Lets say I had a stock 2019 Tacoma TRD Off Road with a Fox 3" Lift, this one to be exact FOX Ultimate Suspension Lift Kit for 2005-2019 Toyota Tacoma. If you took a completely stock 2019 Tacoma TRD Pro and put them side by side would the OR have a higher ride height with that lift? I'm confused as to whether or not the stock Pro fox 2.5 suspension is the same as the Fox 2.5in kit for the OR. The Ultimate fox 2.5 lift for the OR is advertised as a 3" lift but the Pro which I thought had the same shocks as that kit is advertised as a 1" lift over the OR? How does the OR gain 2 inches over the PRO (Pro is only 1"taller than OR) with that 3" suspension kit if the they're the same shocks?

    A few minor things...
The pro sits about an inch higher in the front I believe. The 2.5" rating on the shocks is the diameter of the shocks, not the lift. The 3" is the lift rating assuming you set them to full height.

The shocks you listed are not the same as the OEM pro fox shocks.

That kit is better than the TRD Pro stock kit.

Okay cool I didn't realize the shocks themselves were different. I understood that the 2.5in rating was shock diameter not lift as I've read a lot of forums on here and have seen many others make that common mistake. My confusion was I thought the stock suspension on the Pro used the same shocks & coils as the OR lift kit because they were both 2.5in diameter Fox Brand shocks. I figured they wouldn't make 2 different types of the same size & brand shock.

Thanks everyone for the support

The kit is WAY better than the TRD tuned Fox on the Pro. I took off the stock Fox and added basically this kit. I gained around 2 inches over the stock Fox’s. You can save a good bit of cash if you get the non adjustable 2.5’s but I highly recommend the DSC.

Btw...that site looks sketch af. I would go with @state48overland if I had to do it again. Erick is awesome.

i’m about to take off the stock PRO suspension too and wanted to go with the 2.5s, so you got the extra 2 inches more than stock because the 2.5 can go up to 3” of lift and the PRO is already 1” over stock right?

so you didn’t get the adjustable ones, but did you get the ones with the resi?

ext travel or regular? if regular are the stock UCAs good with the shocks set to 3” of lift (aka 2” more for a PRO)??

your thoughts on your set up on and off road?

    Correct.

All have reservoirs, the front is adjustable. Rear is not adjustable.

Extended travel. With extended travel you must have UCA’s. Stock is ok without UCA’s.

I haven’t had the opportunity to run them off road yet. Work has been too busy. I plan on changing that soon though.

This info is really useful to me! Please post what you think of the Fox 2.5 vs Stock pro suspension on & off road if you get a chance.

what made you go with extended travel vs regular? correct me if i’m wrong but you still get the same amount of lift from each and the extra amount of travel is only what .5” to 1” ???

i haven’t seen any real explanations or advantages of why some do ext travel over regular to justify the additional cost of the shock and the definitely not cheap UCAs that must go along with it

Tons of info in the suspension forums. I recommend browsing/searching through there.

I don’t recall extended travel costing anything more other than UCA cost.

I wanted the extra travel so I went extended. Plus the adjustability of the UCA’s.
