Shout out to @hacklerjason for another install... and it is confirmed that 6.5-7ish inch lift on 35s (with small kine rake) can fit into his garage... my shark fin just cleared his roll up door and my lift just about maxed out the jack lol

Hello, I'm new to the island. I needed a vehicle and noticed that I couldn't pass a parking lot without seeing a Tacoma, so I decided that was a good bet. I found this 2006 Prerunner with the long bed (a big plus for me because I will be hauling motorcycles). The plan is to keep this until it's destroyed by an act of god.



I've never owned a truck before so this is a bit of an adjustment. I like to tinker with cars/motorcycles so I started looking at the possibilities before the ink was dry and stumbled onto this place. Now I've got a few hypothetical projects lined up...

I took a look under there and had the dealer fix a bad spot. Is there a place here that does underbody coating? That's my first priority.

Sound deading and a new sound system, then suspension, then whatever crazy ideas I get from this forum. I've still got to do some research on the best suspension setup for my use case. I'm not planning on doing any hardcore off-roading (which is why I'm okay with a 2wd), just driving to trailheads, campsites, and dirtbike tracks. I want to be able to load bikes in the back with little drama, and take long road trips when I go back to the mainland, so I think I'm looking at a fairly conservative setup.
