Great write up & great job on engineering a solution to what you want on your vehicle. The only fold away mirrors I have had were on a Lexus LX470. It is a feature you really miss, when you no longer have it. Keep up the good work!

So I’ve been doing a lot of research while I wait for my truck and it looks like I have finally located the motors where I can get them in bulk. However, the more I have been thinking about it, I’m not so sure this would be able to be offered in a kit due to a variety of our mirror styles. I could offer the motor itself to anyone that is interested, but you’d have to get a new connection plate that holds the motor because that OEM part on our mirrors will not work. I will look again once I get my OEM Mirrors, but I’m pretty sure it will not work. The good news, I can supply a Brand New set of mirrors with the motor included. It would be a Plug-N-Play. All you would need to do is switch out your mirrors with the new set. The last thing I’m checking on is if I can get them with BSM, but if I can’t, you could probably just switch one the mirror glass and then the wiring just add to the wire harness. My question would be, would there be interest in this or no? Also, how much would one be willing to spend on a OEM Brand New Set of Power Folding Mirrors that are Plug-N-Play?

 

Looks like OEM mirrors run about $280 a pair? Plus additional parts and your TLC to put them together. Priceless

Yeah. I saw that as well Thanks. I’m trying to gauge the interest in this mod because I would need to purchase the motors in bulk but I don’t want to purchase a bulk order if nobody is interested. I was thinking anywhere between $300-$500. However, it depends on the interest and what people are willing to pay for a brand new set of power folding mirrors. That will let me know if it’s something worth offering or not.

 

What would you be willing to pay for a set just so I can see if it would be worth it. I’m going over pricing and what all I can get everything for and I just want to make sure I wouldn’t be spending money on something that isn’t going to sell.

Right. It's all relative. Less interest, higher price. I would be interested in the complete plug and play as well. Regardless of which way this goes, can't say enough about your efforts and detail on this. Solid work OP.
