I just hope that the -38mm offset doesn't have the obnoxiously tire poke like you see on just about every Chevy that's lifted in Florida. Can anyone reassure me that the tire poke is a nice stance without it being too much? I know there's 100s of photos on this thread but sometimes photos make something look different than what it really is in real life. I'm looking at ordering these -38s Monday! Can someone lmk im getting anxious lol

I can't speak to California, but I did a bit of research on the laws here in Utah. Apparently if a truck is "modified" from factory specs, you'll need mud flaps on the rear tires if more than 50% of the vertical tire height is exposed, and they need to cover 100% of the width of the tire. As for poke, I believe law here said that as long as less than 50% of the tire is "poking out" past the fender then it is acceptable, but I could be wrong because I haven't checked again in several months/years.

In my experience, most UT officers will let it slide if you are at least TRYING to obey the law, even if your mudflaps aren't 100% covering the tires and you have an inch or so of poke. Which reminds me, there is a huge mall crawler in my neighborhood that had no mudflaps for a while, had like 90% of the tires exposed, and one night when I came home I saw a couple of really small mudflaps added to the rear of the truck, which looked super silly of course but I knew he must've been hit with a fix-it ticket.

I honestly don't think these -38 ray10s poke out far enough that any officer would give you grief (at least in UT, CA I'm unsure about). Like others have said, I've seen a lot of those Chevys/Fords/GMCs with massive spacer lifts and those huge ugly deep dish chrome blingy wheels that are probably more at risk than these wheels would be. At least here in Utah, they are more concerned with the 50% vertical height/mud flap law and I've seen people pulled over for that specifically, but of course each state is different, better safe than sorry I guess...

Anyone have these on a 2012-2015 without a front bumper? Trying to gauge if I should send -38 offset with a 3 inch lift or wait for the -10 offset to be back in stock. Looking at a 285/75/17 or 285/70/17 ridge grapplers. Any help would be great. Also stock UCAs

Up your caster if you haven’t already. If your not running an aftermarket UCA you may have issues. 2.8-3 is what you’ll need. It will def rub without aggressive CMC and tons of castor.

I had KO2s and made the switch to RGs with no regrets. In my opinion the RGs are quieter and they handle just as well in the rain. I’ve had no problems wheeling with them this past summer on a 3 day trip through rocks, mud and dry sand (Packwood to Bethel Ridge to Yakima reservation). I also have a few friend on RGs up here and they all like them. Haven’t had the time to do a snow run so I can’t say how the two compare. Also I just like the look/tread pattern of the RG. Finally they sit better on our wheels. I’d be comfortable recommending this tire to anyone of my friends.

How much did you have to trim with the -38 offset? Im assuming the CMC and maybe the pench weld. Is that with 285/75's?

There are thousands of people in N. California that don't care about that at all, if true.
