    I've joined because I am coming into a bit of money and it coincides with needing a new vehicle. I have been looking at trucks for a while and debated between the Tacoma, Colorado, and Ridgeline. I don't trust the Colorado long term, despite being a one time S-10 owner and the Ridgeline just doesn't quite look right to me. The Tacoma is what I've always really admired and have settled on one, despite it not being the best truck for carseats (10 mo. old and 3.5 year old). I'll be upgrading my car from an 06 Saturn Ion.

    That being said, I'm really not sure what I want or need. The TRD looks really nice but don't really need those driving features. I feel like the SR is too simple inside and like the SR5, but the jump from the SR seems minimal in price. I plan on maybe towing a tent trailer down the line but don't really think that affects any of the models I am looking at. I've been to a Toyota dealership to look at the trucks as well but between the pressure and the lack of knowledge the sales guys have, I figured this was my best chance at the most knowledge. I've been reading the forums off and on for a few weeks,I've read ramonortiz's tacoma negotiating thread, the 2019 what did you pay for your Tacoma, and others as well.

    Anyhow, that's where I am at, close to buying a truck butnotquite sure what I am looking for yet.

    I bought my truck from that same dealership I would just be wary of the "Mandatory Additional Features". When I bought my truck they said that on top of the advertised price they would add on extra for Theft Patrol and something else that escapes my mind at the moment. They told me that no matter what they would have to charge me for these features "because they were already installed on the vehicle". I ended up buying my truck with them in the long run anyways, but it is pretty annoying if you're not aware of it from the beginning. With that said though, I still love my truck and still feel like I got a killer deal from them. Even after having to pay for the additional features I ended up getting refunded for them months later which is a whole different story...

    Thanks for the 411. I'm not married to the delearship, but I think that is my starting point for what is a good deal or not. I plan to leverage dealerships with best offers in the hopes I don't drive as far if I don't have to. I'm in the 562/626 area
