What would Jesus do? Trade in for a manual, or pick up this BRZ for $11,500?

Thou shalt retain possession of the automatically shifting chariot and donate thy monies to the church of brz thus enriching thy soul.

Oh yeah, and love thy neighbor and shit.

Saying “don’t be a financial idiot” would imply that one of his choices would make him a financial idiot in your opinion. Am I correct in that assessment?

I just think it could have been more constructive to give him advice rather than implying he would be making a bad financial decision and be a “financial idiot”. None of us know how much money he has. He could be well off and money ain’t a thang! Lol!

Keep the truck and get a BRZ. I have both, and tow my BRZ to the track with the taco :)

I drive an automatic pickup (waiting for a manual 2020 TRD pro). A few years ago I bought a used 300zx twin turbo with a manual transmission. It was a blast to drive, but it was always in the shop and it seemed every time I drove it to work my wife would ask me to pick up the kids from school. Some days I wish I’d kept it. It was really nice having a choice of what to drive. It was more expensive from an insurance standpoint though.

I’ve test driven the manual Tacoma a few times. It is a great transmission but it isn’t the same as driving a sports car. The older I get the more I care about safety, especially having kids. More and more people are driving trucks and SUVs these days. I worry about getting in a wreck driving a sports car.

A manual transmission Tacoma ticks all the boxes for me and my wife won’t call it a death trap like she did my 300zx. Ha

But you have a great decision to make. Sounds like you can’t go wrong. Good luck.
