    Hello everyone,
Let me set the stage here. My son currently has my truck but I will be getting it back within the next month. All the information I am getting for what I need I am having him find and send via text pics.

I am thinking of getting an ultralight camper trailer (likely Rockwell GeoPro). Before I go out and buy this thing I want to make 100% sure that the truck can tow it through the mountains of Utah. I don't want to be burning up transmission. Ya getting bigger truck might be an option but want to see if my Taco can do it first.

I am being very careful with this so I am wanting to plug in all the numbers to determine how much I can actually tow. Here is the site I found that calculates it all for you. LINK Maybe there is a better one?

So far I have found through the owners manual, the Towing Capacity (6500lbs), VCW (1200lbs), GVWR (5450lbs) and Max tongue weight (650lbs). I have looked for all the others such as curb weight, GVW, GCVWR and GAWR which from what I understand I will need to fully understand what I can tow.

Where is the darn plate that has this? I had my son look on all 4 doors as well as the door frame on the body of the truck but he is not seeing it. Could this be somewhere else?

    Any help appreciated.

There should be stickers like this on the driver’s door jamb.

    Thanks crazysccrmd,
So He found those but they don't have any of the curb weight, GVW, GCVWR and GAWR. Is that even needed?

It will have the GVWR and GAWR like pictured above. GCVWR and other weights/capacities are in the owner’s manual.

The way all these articles I have been reading make it seem that all these required weights are listed on the trucks. Even when i looked in the manual I didn't see all that they say is required to perform the calculations. Maybe I am making it harder than it is. I have lots to learn.

The numbers you want are all on that sticker or in the manual. The only one not listed directly on the door jamb sticker is the gross combined weight with a trailer. Check page 311 in the manual or right around there for that.

I found them. Thanks all for your help. I was thinking of buying the Escape 201BH and had the dealer down to 20K with sway/weight hitch, electric tongue lift and break controller included but decided to wait on it. Gonna save up and look for used at half the cost.
