I doubt it would have any impact on value unless someone was specifically seeking out a truck without those things whereas it could possibly raise it.

No its not, looks like its being run by Southeast Toyota which is an entirely different distributor than the rest of the US and only covers Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and I think parts of Texas.

I still doubt we'll ever see nationwide incentives like we do on Corolla/Camry/Prius on the Tacoma. Only happened once back in 2012 for a few weeks and it was only $500.

I was afraid of that. I inquired with my local dealership (where I currently have an order in for a 2018/have been waiting 8 weeks now). But, as is typical with this particular dealership, no reply yet.

I am trying to do all my math and have my credit on point before I go get my Tacoma. I’m reading your post and my question is what kind of min score do I need to walk in with to make a confident deal.

Pretty sure 0% (when available) is 700+. At least that’s why I remember seeing on Toyota’s site.

If your credit is decent you can always get preapproved at a credit union or your own bank. But trades and all the other stuff can make deals a little unique sometimes. Just know your score (at least a rough idea) beforehand. That way you can buy with confidence.

If I had to guess I would say above 740, believe you can get a $1000 rebate instead of the financing if that helps too.

I'll never take out a loan for a vehicle again. It is one the worst "investments" one can make. The value depreciates the second you drive it off the lot, and loses more every mile you drive. If you don't have the means to buy a vehicle within your means (your money), it is not worth it. Drive that beater until you can...I know some folks wanna buy a new truck every year, but damn it is wasteful.

Good point. For those that don’t know... The $1,000 and advertised interest rates don’t typically go together. But... College grad and military rebates are different and some can be combined.

It’s not a bad investment if you get enjoyment from it. Money is made to be spent

If you're buying and don't take the 0% or the .9%... I don't even know.

I gotta partially disagree with you. Vehicles depreciate... But that’s why getting the best rock bottom price and gaining equity as soon as possible is the key to not wasting as much money. Plus, it helps to improve, maintain, and create opportunities to buy things such as a house etc. Plus, you aren’t tying up your cash all at once into something that depreciates or gets in an accident and is gone. You aren’t guaranteed to get every penny you put in when it comes to insurance etc.

A new vehicle should be treated like a tool, not an investment

I like to save also but spending money on things you enjoy is what it’s for. I’m about quality of life not the $$ in a bank account

Went to my local dealer on Friday to order a DCLB and Toyota is currently offering 1.9% for 60 months.

You are right to feel that way... But unless you are having your money make money for you in some way, you might as well just bury in a mason jar in Granny’s backyard if it’s just sitting around. Lol
