Hey I consider my wife a 10, have a full pension at 41, fully retired, house will be paid off in less then 10 years (total, not from now), truck paid off in less then 1 year of ownership, zero student loans and 3 years remaining of free college. Not everyone has to lie to kick it...

Don’t you mean your wife pays 30k towards the house while you just hang out with your cat

    Lies.. all lies...

If you can’t pay all cash; you can’t afford it, you are stupid, are financially irresponsible, homophobic, and ugly.

    Oh and god hates you.

Actually you Californians keep moving to MT and driving up the market! What was 160k is now close to 300k. Our housing is still cheaper but we run around 300k- 500k now.

And while speaking of being subjective, with low cost of living comes low income wages.

Seems like your trying to turn it into a shit show. Ill take a cheap house in Montana over an overpriced house in Cali and wouldn’t think twice about it

Yeah me and my wife still try to figure out what people do for work that buy the 500k houses. Average income is 28k a year is all.

Nope, but take a look around here or instagram, you really think there are that many people who can afford to buy brand new tacomas and then drop $5k+ decking them out the way they do, I'm a bit skeptic, not to mention some of the stuff I've heard around here in regards to purchase prices, APR rates/terms, paid off houses/cars, etc. Who knows maybe Tacoma owners are just a bunch of super fiscally conservative/wise people/masters of investing/income who have loads of cash to spend/pay things off, but based on the E3 I saw yesterday with a decked out new TRD OR on base and some of the stuff I see here and on social media, guessing most are in debt up to their eyeballs.

This. I’d love to move back to San Diego where there be two seasons- windows up or windows down. But for what you can get elsewhere- the distance from neighbors and beauty in your backyard, all without having to have that Steve Jobs money...I’ll stick with elsewhere.

Always tons of opinions on this topic. I'm always curious as to whether anyone here invests in the real estate market? My wife and I currently have 4 properties, 1 duplex and 2 town homes that we rent out..I'm currently itching to pick up another this spring. All should be paid off by the time I'm roughly 50 and the rest is pocketed. So I'm on the boat of, keeping my cash and bank rolling everything esp since interest rates are still considerably low. This way by the time we are 50, We have zero debt nothing and our money is finally making money.

Yeah I found that out! My daughter is starting Montana State this year. I thought I might buy one of those cheap non-California houses I hear about all the time for her to stay in. Wrong.....Bozeman prices are not much different than where I live in California.

Bozeman is very beautify BTW. :D

Drop $5K on Taco mods?? Those are the light weights... I see rigs with $10-15K easy.
Actually, it is a fools' game from a financial standpoint as one seldom recovers anything near the costs involved with modding. I agree that lots of folks, including Taco modders, carry huge debt.
    No thanks.
