My tundra I had an issue, must've forced some water into a connector.

I tried to pull the battery cable for some time, turned it off and back on. What worked for me was just driving it a little and switching it out and into 4wd.

So maybe you just have some extra water in there that may dry out.

 

What’s going on Colorado TW?! Picked up a set of front and rear Fox 2.5 dsc coilovers/shocks this week. Reaching out to see if anyone is down to have a mod day next weekend or the one after. I’m not an expert, in fact I’m far from it, but am down to do most, if not all of the work with some direction/guidance from the experts. Anyone down to help a brother out? Will supply food and good beer.

 

Just a heads up, Fox shocks are notoriously a pain in the ass to install on 3rd gens. In the front at least.

 

Why are they so hard to install compared to others? Resi location?

 

Yup. From what I understand the resi/mount on the front is a unnecessarily difficult;lt

 

Resi mounts are not well thought out. Some wil have issues with the spherical joint on the bottom. There offset to allow for extra room for the swaybar, but adjusting them and/or turning will allow the lower shaft to contact the lca causing a squeak. Can get new spacers that center it with rubber washers, but last I heard fox is backprdered and you have to buy them elsewhere

 

So what you’re saying is that you are down for a mod day, is that right?

 

Mine were easy. And that was the second time.

 

Also not running a swaybar. That helps a good amount

YouTube for the millennials that can’t follow paper instructions. Paper instructions for ancient people like @Deathbysnusnu who don’t know what YouTube is. I guess the answer is both!

Yep in this age, you need both to try and limit the "how does this go" stuff.

 

LED Light upgrade for Garage. Anyone buy LED fixtures from Amazon or go with buying from HD/ Lowes?

Not sure how small of projects he works on. But he has a ton of patents, and has done projects for NASA. Tiny LED bars that'll light up warehouses.

 

Remember I am a cheap ass, so a custom lighting solution seems like not something I would do.
