got tboned by a driver going about 45-50 mph. Came out with a couple of bruises and scratches but nothing major. Airbags did deploy. 2018 TRD-Off Road Premium only 4,000 miles on the damn thumbs.Wondering if my Tacoma is gonna be totaled what do you think?

I can’t tell you how many times I would have been t-boned if I were to just go straight at a light instead of turning. That sucks for you

Check the motor mounts and horn alignment and the far side corner. If they are straight it’s an easy fix for the shop.

No fluid. Came out just the body and front axle damage. My body shop guy said it would take a lot to total it since it’s so new and they sell for like $37,000 on the market right now.

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
Glad that your OK. Not sure if it's totaled or not, but kind of impressed that the side windows didn't break.

    70% loss will be totaled!!

Looks like it will take 25,900. For it to be totaled.

They will more than likely repair it. Damage would have to be around $25k-$27k for them to consider a total. If it’s front axle and body damage they’ll repair

I think you should take down a post where you were involved in an accident where you are stating you only have scratches and bruises. If you have to "lawyer up", your attorney isn't going to be too happy with those comments.

What state? Each one has different thresholds for percent repair vs total.

So, you’re saying he should embellish the story to squeeze more money out of the other parties insurance? Cause that’s how I read it.

I would have guessed worse for 45-50 MPH. Frames bend easily on these things by design. Make sure they do a "fine-tooth-comb" check on everything.

Air bags deployed, most likely frame damage, all kinds of crazy things going on with the wheels let alone the damage from impact. I would say total.

I get what he is saying and no I’ll intent is seen in my interpretation. Plus many injuries are readily apparent like whiplash etc. It’s best to just not talk about the injuries or comprehensive details until things have been decided. That’s not implying squeezing money from anyone. That’s jumping to conclusions.

I've been in much worse with a 2009 Honda Fit. T-boned and busted the LCA, tie rod, axle, hub, suspension, wheel, tire, airbag, door, bumer, etc. Car value was 10500 and repairs were estimated at 9,400. Car was not totaled and insurance paid out. Probably a rare case, but it's always a possibility that it won't be totaled considering how these trucks hold so much value.

Looks like you were hit by a smaller vehicle, thankfully. Material possessions can be replaced!

If repairs are greater than the Actual Cash Value of the vehicle, then it will be a total loss. Below the ACV can be accepted as well, but that threshold will be determined by your insurance company and the regulations of the state you reside in. Your insurance agent should help guide you when you receive quotes back on repair costs.
