looks good...i had my black chrome tip on for a day until i took it off and sprayed the exhaust pipe black...makes it look much better.

i also sprayed the little metal "C" pieces black.

 

I guess I better breakdown and get the hole!

I’m debating doing that. Gonna see how I like it for a bit.

Today’s mods...

 

(fair warning product designer viewpoint here)

I don't understand making a Toyota look similar to a Raptor with the LED's arranged in the same pattern. I'm not knocking your work, I'm sure its well installed, AND it's your truck. I just don't get it. I think I'd just arrange the LED's differently. I've seen similar things with Tacoma rear lights that have the exact design language as the F150 tail lights...(pic attached) I'm like.. why would someone design that?

Anyone else feel me on this?

 

It’s just a personal decision. If you like how it looks, it’s your truck do it. Yeah it’s copying the Raptor but in reality any truck that is wide, has these lights and Raptor didn’t really do it cause it looks good, by law they had to. They just rocked it and made it look bad ass. Some trucks have it on roof, others on side mirrors, raptor on grille.

Those tail lights btw hideous. Only the raptor can rock that due to body lines.

The led lights on grille, looks good on any truck and even 4runners lol. Heck if I didn’t know a raptor existed I’d just say “wow nice LEDs”. But I think the deep down feeling anyone who disagrees with them is “If a Raptor owner sees me they will think I’m copying”. If that’s the case the under lying issue is more about what other think of you. Me personally, never cared about that.

 

I think the raptor is a good looking truck so people taking small parts of it makes sense to me, it looks good. Not my deal but I get it. Plus no baby raptor yet to draw people in.

 

I had a raptor, in between my Tacoma's, enjoyed the lights, but really didn't care what other people ran, never really been like that. I just installed some running-4-taco grill lights in white, I think they are cool, way bright though, might need to tone then down a bit. when I start my truck in the morning, I can see the glow about 40' in front of my truck.

As for tail lights, I agree, I don't like the ones that are Raptor-shape-like, I do like the custom tails that are shaped more like Tacoma lights but LED, will most likely go with something like this. The Chevy look...LOL

 

I agree with what everyone has said. I do agree that the Raptor is a good looking truck, probably the best looking that Ford has made. Truthfully, I didn't know the functional reason for them on the Raptor until @King Kermit V said. @bgreyc the Chevy version haha, I prefer those you've attached over some other ones I've seen. LED is definitely the way to go.

 

Where did you get the blank for the switches from.
