@Taco505 i was meaning to get some, got caught up with getting my hands on everything and understanding the setup. I'll be working on getting all my camping gear in there tomorrow and will take some. Has sink, two burner stovetop, dometic fridge, ac/heat furnace.

@copsnok and @Watt maker its really a great setup. Coming from the rtt setup, it really allows more room for the family and far more comfort on longer trips especially when the weather gets bad. With the higher clearance it can make it up any fire/forest service road without any worry.

Love it! I think the quick setup on these is the best. How long have you had yours? Any issues?

Had it 4 years . The set up is 30 -45 seconds. It works great and tows easy. Haven’t had any issues so far . Check the Aliner web sites for a lot of info and mods. It is minimalist, keeps us warm, dry ,and off the ground.

When towing have the tongue a little higher than the rear.
if you get into heavy rain the water will flow off the rear ,not towards where the two top panels sit over each other.

I never posted the MLK run on this forum, and I hate to leave you all out of the loop. This is short notice, but I've been getting the itch to get out again, so here we go....

Saturday 2/23, Exploration trip SE of Albuquerque to check out the Gallinas Mountains and Salinas Pueblo Missions.

Meeting: 8-9am Saturday at the Wells Fargo bank just south of I-25, Tijeras Exit 175

Plan: Head east on 40 to exit 196 @ Moriarty, take 41 south to Willard, dogleg Hwy 60 to Hwy 42 SE to Corona.

Goals: Explore the small, isolated Gallinas Mountain range near Corona, NM. From Corona we will head SW and enter the Cibola NF via FR 161, to FR99 and traverse the range south to north, gaining elevation all the way to the summit of Gallinas Peak (8637ft), where there is a fire lookout built in 1933. After making the summit, spend some time exploring spur roads, then make our way east back to CR55/14 and then on toward the Gran Quivira site of the Salinas Pueblo Missions. After exploring Gran Quivira, depending on time we may head back north via Mountainair, Manzano, Tajique and back up S14 to Tijeras, or take the quick and direct route back up Hwy 41. I would prefer to take the back roads through Manzano and Tajique, maybe have a look at Quarai (another Salinas Pueblo Mission site) and possibly take a shot at making it to the top of Capilla Peak. I think the road up Capilla may have too much snow on it, and it would be a dangerous road to attempt if slick and icy.

This will be a mellow day of exploring and I don't anticipate challenging conditions (except possibly Capilla Peak). The Gallinas range should not have nearly as much snow as the Sandias/Manzanos or areas to the North due to lower elevation and southern latitude. Making the summit should be doable. Weather calls for windy and cold, with a high 32-38 (elevation dependent), and sunny.

So far it'll just be @tomtom and myself. We welcome a few of you to join if you'd like, but would like to keep the group size at no more than 5 vehicles. This run is also cross posted on IH8Mud for the local club "High Desert Cruisers" sub-forum. Tom and I have joined that club to try and find more people who are active and willing to join runs.

If you are interested in joining us, please speak up. Otherwise, expect some pictures later this weekend.

Thanks for sounding off guys, even though you can't make it. At least I know somebody is seeing the invite.

There's been all kinds of talk as usual from people wanting to do trail runs, but there's never any meat on that bone, is there? Maybe it's just the weather and nobody else wants to brave the cold and wind??? :notsure::rain:

I know, and we will. Hope to see some photos from wherever you end up.

We had a few guys jump on board from HDC, and it should be a good time. Snow is coming down hard at my house, so maybe we'll get to play in some white stuff tomorrow.

I’m sure tomorrow is gonna be a fun one!

Anyway I’m totally interested in getting out now that I have something more reliable. Just need a week or so in advance so I can schedule it!

So got a question for you guys. I have today off and was out an about running some errands and found myself out in Rio Rancho. I figured I might as well cycle my 4x4 for the month and ran out to the Puerco for a bit, but of course I was by myself and there wasn't a soul out there so I didn't go super far. Anyway I hit some pretty soft sand at one point and was bogging down a bit and was wondering what psi you all run trail riding depending on the terrain? Also how do you guys air back up?

At the moment Im running 265/70 16 Pathfinder At at 29/30 psi for normal driving.

The last time I was out there I was down to 15. I also have a Smittybilt Air Compressor that I bought off another local member. You could hobble into town on low pressure for a few miles to the 7-11 on Southern, East of Unser and use their compressor. I did that few times before I bought my compressor.
