    Mostly stuff I built.
Can it be programmed to be always open? Would there be any ill effects to having it always open?

Would this help on the 93 FOB tune too? 2-3k rpm feels a little weak, but it could just be because 3k+ is so bad ass.

    Sounds great!

BTW, @OVTune , could you give us a real quick Coles notes on what you did with the current FOB files that differs from the earlier test release? IE, is there ANY Atkinson functionality left?

    What qualifies as "heavy"?

I have additional weight, but how much weight would be the likely threshold for something like this to feel beneficial. I love low end power, partially why I love the FO maps, and I have somewhere around 425-450lbs of additional raw weight on the truck, although overall it probably weighs more than just that added on there. Would someone like me not find much benefit from this modified acoustic valve control?

To heck with the heavy trucks only, I'll try anything Mat comes up with. If it's too much, I won't run it (yeah right). Can you say insane mode for "light" trucks lol?

Would love to have this for 04B12 ECU

As great as FOB is for my manual truck, I agree with Redbeard1. The truck still feels slightly choked up through the mid RMP range. It feels like it wants to go, thinks about it, actually tries here and there, and then finally succeeds at about 5k. I always assumed it was the VVT deciding what it wanted to do. Either way, you can tell there is still a great deal of untapped performance available where it's most needed, i.e. low and midrange. This truck has never been lacking up top.

@OVTune Is there any harm that could come to the engine running in full Otto mode? Should you flash back to “normal operations” from time to time? Say over the course of the engines life to exercise parts of the engine not being used. Don’t flame me here I just am trying to visualize how it all works.

    - There is still atkinson valve timing in the FOB tune.
    - The load range that you actually see "atkinson" mode on STOCK trucks is such a tiny window that you only will use it on the highway cruising with the weight of a hair on the gas pedal under 2000 rpm.
    - some testing is necessary to find the ideal Low and High points for the ACIS, but for sure the stock spot absolutely sucks because you can feel the choke from 2500 to 3500+ until opens up and then it surges
