It's a bit of a throwback Tuesday... GPhotos just reminded me of some "dog related" pics I took 2 years ago, figured I'd share

    This thread hits the feels-
Have had dogs all my life, we always had one or more because people moving away, strays etc. This one was an obviously abused, turned into the best dog ever
    002.jpg
Then when she passed I knew plenty needed a home, went to the pound fully expecting to get an adult and someone had dumped a box of pups the night before, so put in for the one on top (temperament)
    20140713_123648.jpg
But fait had other plans and we got the ball of energy on the bottom.
    20140719_234255.jpg

    And now
    IMG_20181207_143500.jpg

And just got bad news that a now 5 yr old dog already has hip dysplasia and arthritis. Not sure if it's genetic, environmental (what the mom dog had been through) or food...
    IMG_20190223_115631.jpg
But she will be well taken care off, no need for her to be active/ not a work dog.

Maybe I don't get out enough but I don't recall seeing a brindle pitbull before. That's my favorite coloring for any breed :fistbump:

I have a rescue who I believe was abused as well but she listens very well.. mostly haha. She is a little jumpy and I don't think she'll ever get over it. I should of named her Shadow, she follows me everywhere

My gf's pitty (the grey one) has hip issues too, she'll lay on her belly with her legs straight out behind her.

My pupper Sydney is a brindle pitt mix. I haven't done any DNA testing but very certain she's a plotthound pitt mix based on the research I've done

That's called splooting. Very common with bullies. All three of mine do it. Don't think it's indicative of hip issues.

My gf has had her since she was a puppy but she's only been in our household for a few months now and according to the gf she also has hip issues, I thought maybe her laying like that was because of it. It looks pretty funny though, doggy yogo haha

It is sort of a stretching thing they like to do. Looks almost unnatural, but I guess it's comfortable.
