Pro grille on an SR?

I have searched.. Can anybody point me in the right direction to a thread thats already been made? I know there is one here. Im looking to possibly do a swap to a pro grille from my SR grille.. Ive seen alot of talk about the TSS or what ever.. I would assume the swap isnt as easy as just swapping the grilles out.. All the threads Im coming up with in the searches are talking about the ebay grilles.

 

Ebay grill and oem pro grill is the same thing installation wise. Nothing different at all

Whats the install like? Does it just swap out? what about that sensor thingambob ?

 

My <$80 ebay grill is doing great and the savings allowed me to add on some other options sooner rather then later like my OVT!!

 

I got lucky and convinced the dealer to throw one on so no experience there... sure someone has a thread already out on it

PS the only thing he didn’t do is wire extension (not necessary)... Also he didn’t reinstall push washers. If you don’t know what push washers are google it. All the information you need is readily available on here, but if you need a video follow above instructions.

 

I'm not necessarily concerned on the procedure on how to do it.. It looks fairly straight forward.. But all the stuff I have seen has been guys swapping from an sr5 or trd to the pro grille.. I was just curious if the SR was any different from the other trucks..

 

It’s just the grille, sensor cover and if you want to get the wire extension. Then just replace the push washers. All of the Tacoma’s are pretty much the exact same set up. If you have the TSS you just have to get it switched over and get the sensor cover. Just read one of the many threads on how to do it and where to get the pieces if you ever get confused.
