    Howdy all,

    Greetings from the North Sierra.

    Picked up a 2004 Xtracab Tacoma, 4x4 TRD SR5 V6 manual with 195k on the clock. Been reading TW straight for the last few weeks. Thank you all for the great write-ups and informative posts!

    My last truck was an 1986 4runner 22re with 300k+ on it, had it let it go but glad to finally have a truck with a bed and some power.

    This truck runs great but needs some suspension issues addressed. Already replaced both CVs, and going to do upper ball joints, struts, and rear leaf springs. Came with some so-so 'LionClaw' tires. Picking up a camper shell tomorrow.
    Hope to make this thing a reliable camping machine!

    Luckily it's a California car, with essentially zero rust. Got to love those rust free undercarriage bolts!

    Any idea what kind of bumper this is?

    I zoomed in on the pictures to get a better look at the bumper, and from looking at the welds, it's either home-made entirely, or one of the build it yourself kits.
