    Hello!

    This is my first post.

I just bought a '14 Tacoma Mag Grey PreRunner and I'm looking at getting wheels and tires for it. I don't want wide tires sticking out, so I'm looking to keep it looking stock-ish. Also, don't want to lift the truck too much as I would need to get nerf bar steps so the wife can get in.

Since I can't find the ATX Mojave's (AX 199), I've settled on the AR Baja (AR 172).

My questions are what wheel dimensions and offset should I be looking at for the 16" and 17" and what tire size should I pair them with to avoid rubbing on calipers and such?

Was also wondering about backspacing as I like when the rim sits closer to the outside of the tire (no recessed).

I did some searching first and did find tcBob's post regarding max tire size on stock suspension.

    265/70/17, 265/75/16

    Thanks in advance.

I would look for wheels in 16x8 or 17x8 with 0 offset which should be 4.5" backspacing. That should keep it tucked in. Just make sure the wheels have at least a 106mm hub bore size.

Edit: Check carefully with the Baja in 16x8 with 0 offset, I think there was someone on here that had them scrape on their brake calipers which seems odd since a lot of people run that size/offset with other brands and have no problems

I'll ask the tire shop tomorrow.

They did say that with the 16x8 , 0 offset that the tire will "stick out" about 43mm from stock. I'm not sure if I will be okay with that.
