Nice work with the fireplace surround .

You said you were open to ideas , have you considered wrapping the crown at your mantle top around the corner versus returning it on the face ?

 

It would stick way out around the outside, I mocked up a little piece when I was brainstorming.

I liked the Oxy vest so much I got another rig from them too for bigger framing. Bought a beltless setup and some bags. I wish I knew about their stuff 15 years ago.



These things are quality. I'll pass them down to my son no doubt. And they are comfortable.
