In 1986 I bought a new Toy Truck and added a matching camper shell. I lived in El Paso at the time so it was great for taking out to the desert or Boy Scouts out camping. It was a great truck that I enjoyed modifying including a full storage system in the bed that I made in my garage. Never had any problems with it. When my family's needs changed, I gave it to a family member and it served him for many more years and miles.

I recently had the need for another vehicle and decided it was time for another small truck. It had to be a Toyota that could match my first truck. I went looking for a Tacoma with a double cab and knew I would add a shell to the bed. Narrowed it down to a pre '16 so I could get a Prerunner. I was disappointed when I discovered how short the beds were. That all changed when I found my truck. Already has a matching shell and is a long bed. The previous owner had added a few things that really sweetened the deal - weather tec floor mats, splash guards, step sides, etc.

I knew I wanted to personalize it and make my own. So glad I found this forum to learn how to add lighting to the bed, put some decals on the side, change out LED bulbs, see which phone holder to get, etc.

I look forward to learning a lot from you guys and passing on any mistakes and successes I have along the way.

Thanks for the "welcome." Already watched a bunch of your youtubes and subscribed. Really enjoyed them and learned a lot. Couldn't miss the longhorn on your truck. Greetings from Austin!!

Just did the mod for the air vent knobs that I saw on a Tacomaholic video. Didn't even have to use pliers to pull the OEM knobs. Look great at night too-no light bleeding around the knobs. I wan't sure the location indicators would show up so I put an extra mark with a sharpie. Figured I can always wipe the sharpie off if needed.

Plan on adding the grid organizer to the inside center console cover next.
