This looks good easy and not expensive! How did you mount the tray to the truck?

The OP hasn’t been active on the forum for nearly three years.

I see no provision for bolting in place, so maybe it’s welded in? Or maybe clamped in place?

If I were doing it, I’d do a slip fit on the fender side (think tab into a tight groove), and a bolt/welded or captured nut on the motor side for easy removal. Pull one bolt and the whole tray can be slid toward motor a half inch or so, then lifted to remove. You could also weld in a bracket with captured/welded nuts, then bolt the bracket to that.

There are lots of ways, especially if you have metal working equipment.

Gotcha, I’ll eventually do something like this but have other things that are much more important right now. (Unfortunately)

Honestly, I’d build your battery tray, set it into the truck, and use the position of the tray to figure out the best place to mount or weld the brackets to install the new tray. Keep it simple, no need to overthink, though I frequently do the same. Make it so that you can easily reinstall the factory battery tray and if you spray some color matched paint on your new brackets that nobody will be able to tell it’s aftermarket.

That way if you decide to sell, you can remove your tray and extra batteries for your next setup, reinstall the factory tray and it’ll look like stock.

Edit- that looks like a decent isolator, I saved it for later in my Amazon cart. Post pics as you go!
