Says it has a dry weight of 240lbs so that’s considerably less hitch weight than normal trailer pulling.....

"with over 135 comfortable cubic feet for 2-3 adult adventurers."

3 adults in there.... must be one hell of a bedtime adventure.

Bonus points for not putting the feet down before "bedtime".

definitely needs to be researched. Position transition may be tricky.

Seems like it would put a lot of torque on the reviver hitch if theres no other means of controlling the roll tendency. Especially off road

I think from the point of view of actually using the thing, it would be essential to tie it in place with at least 2 ratchet straps. One from the top/middle of it pulling up/forward, and one from the top/front/side corner pulling down to the bumper.

Over the years I have driven my Jeep over some pretty rough conditions, I can only imagine what that thing would be hitting and dragging on even in some mild off roading behind even a lifted Tacoma. Good luck with that shit.

I think its a cool concept. But i don't think i would ever want to drive around with that thing on especially go off-roading with that. I feel it would hit a lot and scrape all the time. I also don't think it looks good mounted on a vehicle. Cool concept but definitely don't think it will be a popular thing with Tacoma drivers.

Pretty sure this is just for the yuppy hipsters and hollywoods that want to go "camping". Anyone who is doing real camping is using a better method that doesnt hinder offroad abilities.

Its a cool idea and would be great for the engineer dads who drive a Prius to take his kids out for the weekend, but not practical for the majority.

Anybody who is doing real camping is going somewhere that you can't get with a wheeled vehicle. If your "camper" doesn't fit in a canoe or backpack, its not coming.

Doesn't matter. Mass is only 1 part of the problem.

Tacoma factory hitch is rated for 650 lbs of tongue weight. Don't see what the issue is with this thing being too heavy for the truck.

So a trailer at max GCWR is less stress than this hitch camper?

Both are Stock - built correct from the start.
Designed for vehicles other than trucks. Like someone said, with a truck just put a topper on it. Maybe for a "yuppie" and their Bimmer convertible to get close to nature.
