For sale is a very unique, First Generation, 2000 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner 2.7L 4 cylinder truck, 206K miles, with automatic transmission that has been repainted (was originally Toyota red) in a high quality, custom, VW red paint by Autobahn Autobody in Costa Mesa, CA. $7800 OBO. Power windows, door locks, cruise control, a/c, power steering. The usual stuff. I have owned this truck for 5+ years and in that time I have tried to restore it to almost new condition using Toyota OEM parts. I'm an old time car guy and I obsess over the small stuff. This truck has 2017 TDR 17" wheels and tires, Katzkin leather interior (installed by Roberto's Auto Upholstery in Costa Mesa, CA at a cost of almost $2000), re-wrapped leather steering wheel, new front and rear bumpers, headlights and taillights, grille and new tubular chrome running boards. In the last month I have replaced the water pump and radiator. In the last few years I have replaced the fuel injectors, valve cover gasket, ignition coil, coolant overflow bottle, windshield washer bottle, driveshaft center support bearing, brake pads and rotors, dashboard illumination bulbs, and even the oh-so-common $400 evaporative canister that caused a check engine light about two years ago. Replaced factory small outside mirrors with the larger OEM newer style. The air conditioning evaporator and expansion valve were replaced with OEM units in order to fix a minor refrigerant leak that would cause the a/c to need to be recharged every six months. The a/c has been ice cold for over two years since that replacement so I know I fixed the problem the first time. I replaced the factory radio with an Alpine head unit and a slim Sound Ordnance subwoofer was mounted under the passenger seat. Various interior trim items have also been replaced over time in order to keep the truck looking and functioning good. The frame, which is about the only thing on these trucks that proved not indestructible, is virtually rust free from having lived in southern California almost its whole life. I believe I am the third owner, having purchased it in about 2013 from a neighbor. If you are looking for a clean First Gen Tacoma that is in better shape than most, give me a call. I won't entertain insulting offers so be realistic and we can talk price. It has had body and paint work due to various incidents here and there over 18 years and I will tell you all the details if you just ask. Total transparency here. I will add additional photos soon and can email you pics as well. I will have the vehicle smog certified for the buyer. It just passed about 5 months ago but will need to be done again to transfer title.

I can take pics of anything you want. Just ask. Some pics below to get you started.

I knew I forgot something. 206K miles give or take 500.

Saw my truck for sale in the Facebook marketplace for only $1600. I tried to buy it from the a-hole but he will only take Amazon gift cards for payment.

Watch out for yourselves out there, folks. It's the wild wild west.

    Still for sale.

leather seats, how are those in hot or cold climate?

it says you had it repainted? were you able to get new VIN stickers for everything?
just curious because the local body shop guy told me if I want to re-paint certain parts I will lose the VIN tags, he could tape them off but it would look funky :(

    any pics of engine compartment?

I wouldn't worry about VIN stickers on a 20 yr. old vehicle. Mine has them all and a salvage title.

I can get you pics of anything you want. Engine compartment is what 200K miles looks like. I'm very leery of steam cleaning or blasting electronics with high pressure water so it is how it is. Dirty but functioning perfectly.

Leather seats are fine out here in so Cal. The stockers were soiled and a bit worn on the edges so I replaced 'em. I didn't paint over any stickers so that's a non issue. All still there.
