    I'm going to be adding a portable air compressor which I plan on storing behind the back seat. This will be a direct battery hook up to run. Has anyone installed battery connections somewhere else on the truck to facilitate quick hook up without lifting the hood? Thinking maybe in the bed in the cubby or perhaps in a discreet place by the grill.

    Or am I overthinking this... maybe it's not that big of a deal to lift the hood on the not so frequent need for air.

    Well, does lifting the good bother you that much and are you using the battery that much??

    Creation of a solution to a problem that does not exist.

    Pop the hood and connect the compressor via the clips. The time spent opening the hood will be nil relative to the time it will take your portable air compressor to fill your tires.

    Personally, I wouldn't want that wire energized all the time unless I really needed it to be.... so then you are opening the hood to close a circuit breaker or switch, or installing a relay and remote switch... getting more complicated it seems..

    Yeah, I guess it's a bad idea after all. I'll just work with opening the hood which will get a lot easier when I install the Redline Tuning lifters I've got on order. I'm going to get a 115v ac to 12v DC 20A converter for use in the garage so that will cover airing up the truck and wife's car easily, and pop the hood when on the road if needed.
