Has anyone else experienced some frustration about this stereo?

I try to play music from Google Play and it refuses to play, and it refuses to play any podcasts I have in Podcast Republic.

Is there a setting I am forgetting to turn on?

Do you have the most updated version of software? Could it be your phone? U don't really have an issue like that. Pixel

Serious question. When is the last time you restarted your phone?

Also I have a 17 so your software could be different

I restart it pretty regularly, but that was one of the first things I thought to try when it wouldn't play the music.

Do I need to have the songs downloaded? It's odd that it won't just stream.

No. Mine streams fine with Google play. Did you give it full access when you connected via Bluetooth?

Could try deleting the connection on both the phone and the radio and re connecting

I'm going to try that now and double check that it has full access. I'll update when I get back inside.

It will play the podcasts, but it doesn't seem to want to control Google Play when I select the song.

It sees all of my music in the cloud, but when I click the song, nothing happens.

Really weird. I guess I'm out of ideas except for something in the settings

I'm not giving up. I brought the manual in and I have the power of Google.

For anyone who has this problem in the future:

Google Play Music > music settings > allow external devices to start playback turn this on > attempt > if on > turn off > re-pair phone to Entune

Yes sir, thanks for trying to help. It was getting to be frustrating - even though I use Android Auto on my phone and just stream it 90% of the time, my wife likes to control the stereo from the display (and for being a new truck there is no reason for it not to work) so I just had to figure out what the setting was.
