I just bought new replacement headlight housings for my 2010 Tacoma. The old housing daytime running light lenses obviously were burned and cracked with the halogens. My question is if I put LED bulbs in the new ones. Will they burn eventually like the old ones?

I haven't done the conversion myself but LEDs stay much cooler than other types of bulbs. The bulb itself stays cool to the touch. The heat sink part is what gets warm or hot. And it's said that quality brands are cooler than cheap ones.

Thanks, I figured as much. But I haven't seen any info on it anywhere.

The new OEM TSB headlights for 2005-2011 do not have this issue. Toyota had a free replacement program for all affected trucks to replace the bad units with the new model which was redesigned to not have the issue. So unless you bought the old model headlight, it should be a non-issue regardless of what you run.
