I've had the same thought :D Waiting for another sale or for them to pop up again.

Also, I thought about grinding a whole Prime Rib roast primal. Got two left from the 4.99/lb sale... I keep waiting for another sale. They are at 6.99/lb right now. which is still amazing! but 4.99 is better!

Welcome back! I saw right after I posted about Jack Daniels I got a like from you. I figure it was like a bat call for you

We are at the Strawberry Festival here today. Just went to this gourmet popsicle booth. Wife and I got strawberry margarita popsicles. DAMN was it good. Got to figure out how to do my own. With the liquor in it was a bit softer than the strawberry lemonade one my daughter had, just meant I needed it to eat it faster.

My wife picked up a small 3-4# sirloin tip roast. I’ve never smoked one. Anyone have any smoking ideas for this?

Ah the Strawberry Festival...the only reason to go to Plant City that doesn’t involve methamphetamine.

When I was a kid, we went to it every year. One year I ate so many strawberries that I ended up projectile vomiting partially digested shortcake all over the bathroom. To this day I can’t eat strawberries without feeling sick.

Something like 60/40 mix of venison to bacon grind. Cook like normal burger. Was soooo good. One of those "how did I wait so long to do this" moments...

@Bigdaddy4760 , what was the mix on that batch I tried again?

I'm just gonna make my own bacon first, then grind and mix up.

What you was eating was this last seasons deer at 3lb bacon - 15lb ground. But I like a lot of bacon.
My wife thinks it’s great for burgers, meatloaf's and cheese dips but to much of a bacon taste for here casseroles, spaghetti and such.

So this year I am going 2lb -15 for casseroles, spaghetti and such. But stick with the3lb-15lb for hamburgers and meatloaf's.
Going to make one 3lb-15lb batch but add high temp cheese and jalapenos and try that.
I have tried many types of bacon over the years but stick to using this.

This was the one in Floral City (Citrus County) I think the Plant City one is coming up soon but not quite yet (don’t go to plant city except for it like you said lol).

The first year we took our daughter she ate so many strawberries that she broke out. I think she was like 3 at that point. We got a flat of them today and asked her to not repeat that last outing. She still loves them and I seriously think she would eat them till sick.

It'd be the best damn party we ever forgot!

I'll just refill the bottle with some McCormicks for whoever shows up late.

I mean, everyone is welcome to order 100 lbs each even without getting the bottle. :anonymous:

If you want something that is going to be an easier sip-all-day whiskey (i.e. not a barrel-proof bomb like Booker's), then look at some of the Old Forester stuff. The 1920 is so delicious. Still a little higher proof, but only 115, so not as challenging as the Booker's. Otherwise get the 1910 or the Statesman.

Balcones is made in Waco if you want some Texas influence in your purchase. Pretty solid whiskies.
