The weather warmed up a bit and I could'nt wait anymore, got the Dobsinson snorkle installed.

Had no problems with the install, just as @boogie3478 video said 'use soap' helped a bunch.

It didnt fly off and get lost in traffic, so :fingerscrossed:

Give her hell past 40, that’s when I noticed it below that no changes. Of course mine likes the buffet she’s a little hefty so I notice any little gain/loss.

So I agree. When I get on the highway and put the hammer down, she picks up a bit better. As well it has a different growl now. I really like the new sound at full throttle.

I am pretty disappointed in the hardware supplied with the snorkle. Rust on the hose clamp holding the scoop on, rust on the bolts, washers, lock washers and metal bracket attached to the A-pillar. It has been on 2 weeks. Guess I have to change it all out for stainless on my own.

Started spring maintenance on the rig today at the auto shop. It was only open a few hours today so I could not complete everything. Just have to go back tomorrow and play around more. :cookiemonster:

Removed the @TOTAL CHAOS LCA skids for some love. The powder coating that is still on them lasted for 3 years so I can not fault it at all. It just costs to much to have that done, when compared to just my time and effort now that I have access to a sandblaster. They are going to get sandblasted and rattle canned orange.

Didnt strip anything or have 1 problem removing the hardware holding them on. I now know that the maintenance I am performing is working. There is rust on the nuts and bolts, but nothing was welded together after over 2 years of not being removed.

    :sawzall:

I need to add a drain hole to the LCA's. Each of them had about 1/2 a Liter of water drain out of them when the lower bolt let loose on them. This I believe is also the source of some 'banging' in the front end at odd times that just comes and goes in the winter. I think this is thawing and re-freezing, as well as bouncing around inside the LCA because it is hollow and making noise.o_O

    Got busy again today!

Ground each of the Total Chaos stock LCA skids with an angle grinder using the flapper paddle wheel, then sand blasted them.

    :laser:
Slapped on a layer of primer when I was done, to keep them sealed from rust until I can get paint on them this week.

Well, TW helped me again with acquiring items I wanted for the truck. At much cheaper cost than I thought I would get it for.

    ARB Delux Bull Bar Bumper

Just have to wait a little while until the TW express can get it in my hands. So Stoked.

1 more level of armor, from deer. Idiots in parking lots will not enjoy nudging that either.:cookiemonster:

Went out to engage 4x4 yesterday. Was awesome

We did not know really what to expect for conditions, its always a crap shoot at this time of year.

The soft right hand side of the trail pulled me in, my buddy in his heep walked past me on the left while I was spinning wheels upto the frame like a tard.

This caused some of my cheap recovery boards to poop the bed, I have used and used them so it does not surprise me. I heard the one fail it was pretty loud cracking popping noise when it happened. One broke in 2 places, one just cracked in a single place. Time for a new set of 2.

Here is how you show a heep with front and rear auto lockers how to do it.

Been working on my photoshop skills again,

Dont want to forget how to do all the things I have gained over the years. Sometimes that means playing around.

Updated my userbars to an animated gif. I know userbars are so 2005. I dont care, I like em.

    Never made anything animated before.

I think next I will make a Total Chaos bar, add it in to the animation.

Yea my shit is not important compared to yours. Get your beast of a rig inline before worrying about my stupid bumper mods.
