Where does everyone here mount their scanguage on the Tacoma. Trying to find a good place that is easily seen while driving but so the cord isn't going over any airbags or anything. Also where did you run your cord would help! Thanks guys!!

I velcro'ed it to the top of the phone charger cubby. I have it next to my brake controller so the wire runs through the same hole I made for the controller wires, In my old 2nd gen, I had it on one of those mirror stem mounts above the rear view.

Mine is in the cubby right in front of the shifter, no mounting necessary.

I'd love to see more pics of that set up and how you ran the wire. I just put mine there but ran the wire behind the cubby to the other side and have the wire coming up along the radio bezel thing.

Yea, mines a 2nd gen. But that area of the cab is pretty similar, right?

And since my little '13 5 lug base was prewired for the sexy mirror, I picked one of those up (off this site) and plugged it in too. Autodim, compass, temp and backup camera display.

I glued velcro on top of the SC, and the velcro holds to the headliner just fine. The cable was worked under the leading edge of the headliner with a bike tire removal tool (plastic, curved end, etc) down the A pillar (trim removed, cable out of way of bag) under the dash and plugged to OBDII port.

30 minute job if you enjoy a soda while working. And dust the dash. :D

Yea. They’re not cheap but it is the cleanest and easiest install in my opinion.

Velcro'd to the steering column, easy to see at a glance, totally hidden cord, same install as all my other vehicles.

IMG_20190301_211551613.jpgI used the ETSY cellphone mount. or if its not listed you can use a Nite-Eyez Steely Ball mount. run the cable behind the dash up to where you want to mount the gauge. cut a notch in the center trim piece for the cable, comes off easy just pull.

I'm hoping that was in somewhere hot with the heat on full blast . There's no way that temp is blowing out in somewhere then remotely cold. But hell, I saw on here the other day where someone said their heat was really hot, so maybe.
