Looking for a new bumper / grill guard for under $1000

I'm looking for some protection along the front in black steel. I've looked at the Fab Fours and others, but soooo pricey. I do not need a winch or an LED bar, and prefer that the emblem isn't covered. Any ideas or pics appreciated. Has anyone tried an AVID Front Bumper Guard?

    Thanks

E Bay bumpers ? Check out threads here....I was torn about my selection....

ended up ordering an ARB from Auto Anything...$1090 shipped

You don't have to add winch or LED lights.....you'll have a well engineered bumper

Looks great. Did you have it installed or DIY?

    Thanks brother

Shops will bill you for 4-6hrs of labor minimum. The install is pretty straight forward, but is a bit tedious due to all of the varying bolt and washer sizes lol. ARB provides a bag with all of the hardware mixed up... Most painful part was organizing said hardware prior to install and getting the bumper lined up since it's pretty heavy (~135lbs). Having one person help out will make it much easier. I got it done in a little under 3 hours.

This part took me 30-45 mins alone...

EDIT: Op, I'd recommend staying away from bumper guards and getting a full plate bumper if you do any actual wheeling. Bumper guards are just damage multipliers if you get in a fender bender and do nothing for your approach angle off-road.

Not hating on Avid as they're a good fab shop. Just saying, avoid bumper guards :anonymous:
