Placed jack under leaf spring shackle on rear axle I thought that would work.

    Leaf spring shackle seamed too be the lowest spot to place jack.

    Post this on your other thread so it's all in one place. Doing it this way, along with placing your jack on a leaf spring shackle, is not how things work.

    The stock jack is crap. I would go to harbor freight and get a more gooder bottle jack and keep it in the truck.
