Shovel snow. Grill. Temps going wrong way so far it is -15 with -33 windchill. Windchill is real and what really sucks. Hate the wind in the winter. Got front steps clear finally. Well as clear as they are going to be for now.

    March 3 steps.jpg

When I can feel my toes again will tackle the deck so I can grill

    March 3 deck.jpg

A1C blood draw in the morning so I need to start studying for it. Haven't grilled since last Saturday, just as the blizzard hit.

I would melt at your temps & humidity without AC, be a couple of months before I turn mine on though. More for high humidity than heat. Usually.

Mid to late April before I start seeing red wings. Robins come earlier, and often see those with snow on the ground. But not normal for the red wings. Should be about 6 weeks before I start seeing them.

A few of the Red-wings winter over here, it's just when they start showing up in large numbers that I figure warmer weather is coming before too long. They usually show up before the Robins do.

31* and no snow, supposed to get 1”-3” late tonight and into tomorrow. Sick of work and sick of winter,I cannot change either. I did wash my truck yesterday and it has stayed clean of salt for over 36 hours, it’s the little things. I think I will watch the hockey game on tv and take a nap.

Interesting that it is different between here and there for the same species. The dark eyed junco comes here to winter, when they head North again that is a good sign. I have actually seen robins in the winter but just passing through. Still haven't figured out that one! First couple of flocks come through then the rest take up a summer home here.

Pelicans will show up on the river in early May

Then warblers in late May. One of my favorite times of the year. Plus trout season is in full swing then, with actual insect hatches.

LOL good catch, yep the snow is so deep the dog has taken to using the driveway.

Ended up getting a new battery at beginning of winter, it was only 3.5 years old. But in the cold we both go through that is about the best can expect. No sense in pushing it, not worth it. Extreme heat will eat them also.

Yeah he likes to help fill it back in as fast as I throw it LOL. Then he starts to attack the shovel. Going to get started on the deck and leave him inside, that shovel is heavy with snow on it and his teeth latched onto the blade...

my wife will not move anywhere it “may” snow every year. After Katrina we looked at all options, including moving as we didn’t know if we would even have jobs and the houses were all waterfront property....not the valuable kind...
Anyway, stuck it out and well still here and not looking to go anywhere

    Well
Just made 4 copies of my licenses.
    One for my wallet
    One for my backpack
    One for the boat
    One for my waist pack
    One for the truck

And decided to shake it up.
Since I love throwing top water in the weeds with frogs and I’ll throw a occasional buzz bait I bought this.
See how this works just before the spawn .

    We have them.
But at this point right now would cost me a fortune for the years possible.
    Plus no special licenses included

    Yea
I’ve pondered in past about one but I don’t fish much, dove not much, just deer. But here you have to have a hunting license to harvest any meat, cost of discharging weapon
