Sold: '19 TRD OR - It will always be in my heart.
Yes, the title is correct. It was my parent's old truck when I was kid\teen, and it had a full double cabin, but with only the two front doors. Similar to the pic below, but in red (and missing the rear doors of course). 3+1-speed manual transmission, 2X4. I've never seen anything like it since the day my dad sold it.

I loved driving that old truck as a teen. Lots of high-school memories were made in that truck. That rear cabin was very roomy too :).

When I became an adult, I test drove a modern Ford F-150, expecting to get the same feel as that '72, but it just didn't happen (too heavy). So I stuck with a sedan. Years later, I went to test drive a Taco, but they were too busy for me at the Toyota dealership, so instead I test drove a Chevy Colorado. That didn't do it for me either (not sure why). So back to a sedan for a few more years.

We had a nasty snow storm in early 2019, and my 2007 rear-wheel drive sedan was not cutting it, so I thought I'd give a truck one more chance. I knew I was going to hate driving a truck, so I went in with the expectation that I would just get a Subaru right after I got the Taco test drive out of the way. The local Subaru dealership is right next door to the Toyota dealership (convenient).

I loved the Taco. I tried to resist at first, but there was no fighting my instincts. The Taco doesn't want to be a car, it doesn't handle like a car, it's not confused. The 0-60 times, the drum brakes, "sluggish" engine, etc. none of that mattered. I was hooked, but I did get a pretty amazing deal on it too. So, here I am.
