I just purchased a used 2018 TRD Pro with 10,499 miles. I wanted to go ahead and get this started seeing that there will be a decent amount of mods coming in the next two months.

My girlfriend and I recently both gave notice at work and will be taking the summer off. During that time we'll be helping my girlfriends dad clean out his house so it can be put up for sale, and doing a general tour of the western states(WA, OR, CA, NV, UT, AZ, NM, CO, ID, MT, WY).

Current approach is to build the truck out as a killer road tripping machine. Eventually we'll transition to more serious overlanding as time goes on and my girlfriend and I gain more experience.

    Current Mods:
    • NONE - Bone Stock
    Potential Future Mods:
    • Tonneau Cover - Diamondback HD (Ordered - Thanks @kyle@realtruck)
    • 48" x 14" KB Voodoo Max Steel Roof Rack (Ordered - Thanks @KB Voodoo)
    • Roof Top Tent - Treeline Outdoors Tamarack Constellation (Awaiting Pickup - Thanks @Adventure Ready)
    • Awning
    • Bed stiffeners
    • Pop N' Lock (Ordered) w/ @KTJO 4x4 wiring harness (Ordered)
    • First Aid Kit
    • Tool Kit
    • Rear suspension upgrades to handle the weight
    • Rear seat removal and platform build
    • Bed cargo system
    • HAM Radio (Kenwood TM-D710GA)
    • Mobilinkd - To facilitate APRS map display
    • Tablet for Navigation

My rack from @KB Voodoo should arrive today. I'm going to work on putting together install pictures or maybe even a video. Unfortunately, it looks like it will be a while longer before my diamondback will be here. Which means I'll need to pull the rack and tent off for install. I guess I'm figuring out a hoist system sooner than later.

I dropped by @Adventure Ready this week after finding out they were local. They had a Treeline Outdoors Tamarack Constellation with annex on sale for a great price. I decided to go with the Treeline since the specs between the Treeline and CVT Mt. Shasta weren't that different. I also don't have to drive 15 hours round trip to pickup the tent, and I get to support a local business.

Edit: I should add that we really liked the fact that the Treeline had larger windows and was almost pitch black once you closed up all the windows.

I'm looking forward to providing a more comprehensive update with pictures (or video) as I'm able to start installing everything!

Yesterday I passed both the amateur radio Technician and General exams! I wasn't anticipating taking the General exam but they were offering to allow people to test for free. I figured what the heck so I gave it a try, and it turns out I knew enough to just barely pass. There's a local HAM swap meet next week so it looks like a new ham radio in my future!

In other news, I was able to partially put together the KB Voodoo bed rack. I should be able to complete install by tomorrow. I'm hoping to get the rack together, the diamondback on, and the tent mounted before the snow/rain comes later in the week!

Look for a few install posts coming soon!
