Hi, I am new to the forum and have just purchased my 1st truck last October 2009. I have a 2005 PreRunner that I love. I finally at the age of 33 got the truck I have always wanted. Now,I am looking to start making improvements to my truck such as an exaust tip,new tires and rims, and a throttle body spacer to start. I am trying to decide what is the best exaust tip to use. I have heard that Gibson is a good one. What do you all recommend? I am also looking into putting a throttle body spacer on my truck to help increase hp and performance. Has anyone put one of these on or heard any reviews on them? Do they really help??

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    welcome....

tb spacers on this truck do nothing more than give it a whistle. as for the exhaust, the cheapest and most beneficial way is to get a muffler that you like and have it welded in. there is no extra benefit in buying an entire catback system. might also want to check out the AFE pro dry drop in filters.

There is only one throttle body spacer that works.

So what suggestions does anyone have on what to do on my truck? I spent over 4 hours on the internet last night looking at sites on different things to do and they all contradicted each other. I did read alot of sites that say Tb spacers wont do anything for this truck. What mods have you all done and what was successful in boosting power.

First off I would replace the stock air filter with an AFE pro dry-s one. Helps out and people really like them much better than stock.

Exhaust I wouldnt go to crazy, just get a muffler to save the money and get some nice sound.

    Get a 3" lift.

If your wanting to go with performance get either a supercharger or pair this up with a few tasteful air flowing products http://www.urdusa.com/product_info.php?cPath=66_72&products_id=1260518754

I'd definitely look through build threads and check out what other people have done that you like. Once you find something, do a bit of research on this forum and others. I generally put trust in what the end users are saying, not the people marketing the various products.
