I cannot for the life of me get these bulbs to fit into my fog light housings. There is no visible difference that I can see between the OEM and the Philip's insert tabs on the bulb cradles. Ughhh!!! Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem with their 3rd gens.

The TRDs can take the H11 for fogs. I could be way off, but I am pretty sure H11’s don’t fit in the SR5 fogs.. don’t quote me though. Check out the sticky light thread. It talks about it in there. I would search and link but I am on my cell.

Thanks for the reply trazerr. I feel like a total noob. So after reading your comment I go out and look at the back of the OEM bulbs, and lo and behold.... H16's.... smh lol

Welcome! I got on my laptop and tried searching where it said what to use for SR5 fog lights and I couldn't find it. I know it is mentioned multiple times in that giant light thread (I think ha). I just remembered reading our SR5 fogs didn't take the same bulbs that the TRDs take.

Eh, feeling like a noob on here is common for me so don't feel bad! I ordered 4 Hella H9's for my highs and lows. I'll have to trim the tab on the bulb to fit the H9's in the lows. Or you can order a harness. Highs are H9 so easy there. I haven't looked at replacing the fog light bulbs as I knew they were a bit harder to find good replacements.

Are you gonna do the blue coated or non coated? I was going to do the non coated h9’s but I think the light output of the coated will still be above stock so I may just go that route.

I ordered the Hella non coated. The ones that crash recommended over the GE's. They were about $9 a piece. I figured at that price I might as well give them a shot!

This is true edgar, but I have hid's for low and high beams. I guess I could keep them for a backup. ;)

So did the H9 bulbs increase the output of the low beams?

Mine are still in transit. Check out the stickied light thread. The H9's in the lows are a big improvement. Improvement in the highs as well. Only downside is a 200-250hr life.
