I sleep good at night without the A/C drain mod so no I do not have to check.

 

OP, you shoul clean it very well paint and apply liquid film to prevent that from happening again. Very hard to keep any car from rusting when you reside on a place that snows and roads full of salt etc.
Btw, I thought that does rubber seals have some sort o grease inside to prevent rust... did you check inside the rubber?

 

Get mine "Krown rustproofed" every year to avoid this....

 

Going to get some stuff to fix it. You can see the paint all rippled just below it on the sill so I will need to knock that paint off as well.

 

I am a fanatic about cleaning my cars/trucks but since I got the Tacoma I find myself even more so. If I have to drive on salty roads I immediately hose the frame and underside components when I'm done driving. These type of posts are alarming for someone living in the snow belt.
