Can I get some info on this? Sounds like it allows you to run an older tranny (cable driven speedo) with the newer, digital cluster in your truck? I’m curious if I could use it as a workaround to move to the newer cluster and get rid of my noisy speedo cable

I am not 100% positive on those specifics. I know it did make a cable driven VSS work with my newer harness.

I bought it from Low Range Off Road and it was actually a Trail Gear part. I'll bet they could tell you if it would work for you.

Interesting. Does that harness go to the ecu? Or is it just straight to the cluster?

I didn't have to go back that far to see. The stock connection plugs in the that adapter. I just had to splice the red, green, and blue wires to make them about 2 feet longer to reach the Tcase.

Started working on a high clearance rear bumper + swing out this weekend.

    Cut the length

    Laid out my angles.

Made the cuts (these were probably the most time consuming thing there will be on the whole project)

Recessed a hitch. (This is the back side of the bumper)

    Made reinforcement for the hitch.

    Welded the end plates.

Mocked the bumper on to the truck and found the spots to cut the saddles for the mounting brackets. (Brackets will be 3"x1/2" flat bar going through the bumper with shakle mount ends, with 3/16 welded on either side of the 1/2" bar, making a 7/8" shackle mount)

Cut the swing out posts to length. Made the back side of the post continue to bottom of bumper to combat any sag. (Posts are 3/16 wall)

Swing out is replacing the tailgate.

Frame brackets are (pretty much) done.

And no... The welds don't look pretty. But them bitches are strong. The tab is actually angle iron frenched in and completely perimeter welded, then ground flush. (On the side facing down)

3"x1/2" flat bar brackets with 3/16th tabs on the outsides of the shackle mount. Making the shackle mount 7/8th thick.

Here's the way the frame brackets attach.

Decided to fabricate tabs to mount where the tail gate latches used to be. Add some post support and also makes for some pretty beefy frame stiffeners.
