Pic was taken last night right before it was time to much on them. But there were some left for me to bring to lunch today. Somehow wings taste smokier when you eat them the next day which I liked.

1988 4runner. SAS with 85 front high pinion front, 4.88's, 35's. 3.0 v6 POS motor. Sold it to make room and funds for my tacoma. It was a decision I wrestle with for years but finally decided I needed a good solid practical vehicle that will last a while and has room for me and my wife to grow a family but can also handle the woods. I miss it everyday but the new owner will treat it will. Drove from Indiana to GA to get it and when he found out it was rust free, he decided he will store it for the winters to keep it that way. So yes I miss it everyday but at least I know it's in good hands. In a perfect world where I own land and a separate huge garage to store my toys in, I would have kept it but that isn't the case. :frusty:

That looked great! Only reason I deleted the rest was to comment on the V groves. It is pretty much identical to the grillgrates. Grill companies have worked for years to develop sear and flavorizer bars. But what you have right there beats them all

I seldom clean my grooves out for goodness sakes they are flavor savors :p

    Well done.

I didn't build it, i bought it made. The channels tilt down then drain into a hanging grease catcher box . This is supposed to keep the flash fires from burning your food. Here is a pic of it before it was installed.

First cut up a pound of bacon. Cause all great recipes start with first you cook a pound of bacon. Couple of large onions and a few mushrooms.

    March 4 toppings.jpg

    Shovel. Light fires.

    March 4 Fires lit.jpg

2 lbs. medium spice pork sausage. Cheddar brats. Cheddar and bacon stuffed portabella mushrooms. And cherry wood smoke. Food for the week.

    March 4 first round3.jpg

Bacon wrapped capsteak. A sirloin for the son and a couple for me to make vegetable beef soup with later in the week. Cherry wood smoke.

    March 4 Capsteak and 3 sirloins.jpg

133° a few more degrees done than shooting for. Still nailed it.

    March 4 133 done.jpg

I see a common theme. Bacon...

I admire your ability to plan meals for the week! I changed my mind 3 times on my way home, and had to stop by the grocery store. :anonymous:

The only thing I know for certain tomorrow is my morning coffee, and afternoon beer....it’s my Friday. :D

    Thanks.

Like a fully loaded Tacoma a top of the line BBQ isn't cheap, but it's worth it. It took another $250 to ship it from Texas to CA.

    Sunterraoutdoor.com

It weighs almost 500 Lbs. It took 4 guys plus me to use an engine hoist to get it in place.
