It's less like 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' and more like 'if I keep doing this, I will break it'.

    Proactive>Reactive

Plus I don't want it breaking in the middle of nowhere and ruin a trip. Have you driven home from a trip with your steering wheel way off and your tires getting destroyed?

some have placed 1/4'' stock bar behind and welded that in. However doesn't always work out so well as the OEM tabs are so thin the welding can pull the metal out of shape and make it worse.

I didn't have luck doing so, and it just made it harder to cut off when I did put the TCs on. The OEM tabs are not as tight on the cam and allow some movement even if you do back them up with something. That's made especially worse if you've already had one or more bent by an alignment 'tech' that didn't know what they were doing.

FWIW, my alignment has held really well for the last several years. I've seen other's knock their alignment out so bad we have to do a tape measure alignment to make it derivable again.

That's with the gussets. Before, I knocked my alignment out almost every single trip.

Took out my old dome light and installed a “new” dual map light on my 95 Tacoma. Also found some mud flaps at the junk yard. 62850F9B-943C-421F-AE30-8494958BBEF3.jpg

    Had the same problem: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/02-tacoma-brake-bolt-trubles.537381/

The tundra brake swap fixed the issue for me.

I'm not seeing any crush washers? Don't know if those would prevent the banjo bolt from backing out tho. Look into getting new banjos with a shallower head. Plenty of options out there, you just need to ensure you have the correct thread size to match up. And change your brake lines to braided before you bother with the Tundy brakes. The new brake lines will make a world of difference in how your brakes feel.

huh, I had a banjo bolt come loose once too after a camping trip and I just chalked it up to a freak occurrence...I'll have to check my coilovers and see if it was hitting. Hasn't happened since but I'll have to keep an eye on it now.

Ok, I'm cheap. Let's get that out there now.

Charcoal canister on 95 model. The plastic fitting on the bottom got brittle and was broken. The Toyota part is $265 on Amazon. I found a part laying around my garage that was a cheap fix. I paid <$4. You may find something different (possibly vacuum hose elbow), but if not, they do sell these on Amazon for $8.00 and they work well.

Canister broke here and you cannot buy this piece separately:

    upload_2019-3-4_19-48-4.jpg

Yes..., that is a lawn mower fuel shutoff. Cut off the filter portion.
    upload_2019-3-4_19-49-34.jpg

Install the grommet that comes with the valve above the triangle bracket and the spru of the valve fits really well into the base of the canister and forms a tight seal.

    upload_2019-3-4_19-51-39.jpg

Make sure the valve is in the "on" position.

Don't worry, nobody can see it once the canister is back in place. :anonymous:

I laugh at so many who think this isnt true. My first day as a fabricator, my coworker asks "Do you like welding?" I said yes. He responded with "Its my job to make sure you hate it" or something along those lines. Sure enough a year in, and I was gone. I went back, but my job description was tweaked a bit to make me like it better. So far so good.

It is and isn't true. Kind of depends on the situation I think. I do what I love every day. Get to work with music and audio.

But in terms of freelance, there is a LOT to being self employed that makes it not as fun as you'd think. But it generally offsets itself..usually. Takes a lot of passion to do that. More than most realize.

A job is just that. A Job. Part of my generations problem is they were told to do what you love no matter what! Instead of realizing you can work any job, work hard, be smart about it, and you'll succeed and grow with the job. This will bring its own rewards and in turn you will learn to LOVE your job. And you'll have time and money to do whatever else it is you love.

Bringing your passion to any job..makes it awesome. Always. I've never had a bad job because of that sort of thinking. Learned lots from lots of different jobs and loved them all and did well at all of them.

Thats really what I guess I mean.

Im done with all this philosophical though lol. Back to trucks!

That's clever, if you ever need a new can, you can get the VC120 from GM cars or new at the parts store for like $60 and it's a perfect replacement. That bottom line is a breather that just dead ends in the frame rail so it vents fumes in the case of an over pressure situation safely away from the hot engine.

I can help with that! :p

Had the OEM bumper fender attachment points hanging down below the new bumper, because high clearance. Bugged me seeing those sticking down, took away from the high clearance part of the bumper. So I cut them off and trimmer the radiator support a little.

"Any" that fit the 13WL, at that point they are the same (to an extent - there are actually two different sets of pads, one of which has more surface area than the other). I have part numbers and links in this post though: New to Me Tires and Tundra Brake Upgrade

Tundra calipers move the location of the banjo as opposed to the Taco one, so might fix the problem for you.

My advice is order the Toyota kit, $35 and it comes with all the clamps and greases and new retainer rings. You will need clamp pliers but I'll send you mine if you wanna borrow the.
