    Howdy!

Another noob here, complete with a well used 2000 Tacoma. I hadn't really planned to buy one, but it got me out of kind of a jam, and I've had a blast with it ever since. Long term I have no idea what I'm going to do with it, especially since I have another truck, but I've been tossing around the idea of setting it up better for camping. It has definitely reawakened my desire to explore backroads and rarely used trails.

Here we were, on the way home last summer - I had owned it for 12 days.

Welcome! I look to explore the backroads more, too, so made my purchase just over a month ago.
I do a lot of work and research in the field and needed a way to get out further, anyway. But now I can set it up to take the family and really have them appreciate it as well.

The older I get, the more I'm finding out how much I like being out in the middle of nowhere. Met some really cool people that way. I've done a lot of motorcycle camping, but there are some places where it would be really nice to be able to worry less about bears, and a truck is a pretty good way to go about that.

Looks like I84 just leaving Idaho or coming to Idaho. What a really boring part to drive. We live in Twin Falls Idaho about an hour from the Utah border, go that way all the time to Salt Lake.

This was on US 50 (AKA, the loneliest road in America) at the Nevada/Utah border. There isn't a whole lot of excitement there, but it sure is pretty in a desert-y kind of way.

Thanks for the warm welcome all!

Its a good bike for as cheap as they are, I enjoy the heck out of mine. Unfortunately, something in the engine let go somewhere in northern Canada. That is why it is in the back of a Toyota in this picture :D I need to tear down the engine and figure out where the two dime-size chunks of aluminum I cleaned out of the oil pump pickup screen came from. But, lots of other things have happened in life lately so that is on the back burner for now :(
